Rosen Method Bodywork

About the work

This unique form of bodywork uses a gentle, present, responsive listening touch, along with words to invite deep relaxation and self-awareness into the body.  During moments of deep relaxation unconsciously held muscle tension, memories and unknown feelings may surface and shift into the client’s awareness. When the body is allowed to discover its truth in a safe and non-judgemental environment, a sense of deep connection and spaciousness may unfold.

This work is effective in accessing our vitality and inner resilience as our bodies learn to shift out of survival mode and into wellbeing.  Reconnection to those unconscious places within ourselves offers opportunity for returning to our authentic whole self, our essence, along with living a more embodied, joyful and fulfilling life.

As stated above, this unique form of bodywork uses a gentle, present, responsive listening touch, along with affirmative words to invite deep relaxation and self-awareness in the body.  It is an effective way to access our vitality and inner resilience as our bodies learn to shift out of survival mode and into wellbeing. In this way, a greater understanding of how emotions move through and are held in the body, is acquired.

Rosen Method, An Approach to Wholeness and Well-Being Through the Body

Rosen Method Bodywork sessions are 50 minutes with a brief check in before and after the session.  Similar to massage therapy, clients undress to their comfort level, lay on a massage table under a sheet/blanket and are always appropriately draped.

Personal growth is a key element in this work.  Clients may receive several sessions over a period of time, depending on their needs.
